February 14: A Beer-Lover’s Sneak Peek at Our Next Book!

Thanks to everyone who made it to Glensheen last night to talk Duluth’s historic stage and movie theaters—great turnout on a cold February night! Next week we’re brewing up something for beer lover’s on Valentine’s Day with a sneak peek at ZCP’s forthcoming book Naturally Brewed, Naturally Better: The Historic Breweries of Duluth and Superior.

The Head of the Lakes was home to more than a dozen brewing operations between the Civil War and Prohibition. While tracing their history we found some fascinating, often fun, and sometimes funny stories about pioneer brewers and the community’s relationship to beer. ZCP’s Tony Dierckins is going to share some of them while you drink beer (or wine if you prefer).

Glensheen’s Zenith City On Tap series offers free hour-long presentations and Q&A sessions on Duluth’s history in the mansion’s lower recreation room. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7. Local beer and wine available.
