In keeping with this month’s feature story, our Lost Landmark for February is straight out of Hunters Park. Duluth attorney Jed Washburn and his wife Alma built themselves this remarkable Queen Anne Victorian at 101 Oxford Street in 1892. The Washburns were highly involved in public education. You can learn more about the Washburns here, and more about the house here.

  1. Washburn house wasn’t demolished. It burned down. It was empty and up for sale at the time:) the current house was built on the original foundation.
