Zenith City Press publisher Tony Dierckins will be signing copies of his six Duluth history book this Saturday, December 7, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Bookstore@Fitger’s within the Fitger’s Complex.
Due to last weekend’s blizzard, Duluth’s homegrown retailers missed out on Small Business Saturday. Here’s your chance to show your support of local businesses by patronizing the shops at the Fitger’s Complex.
And if you have a fan of history on your shopping list, why not get them a signed copy of a book celebrating Duluth’s remarkable history? Dierckins will be signing his histories of Duluth’s iconic Aerial Bridge (Crossing the Canal, finalist for the Minnesota Book Award), the city’s incomparable park system (Duluth’s Historic Parks: 1856–2016, winner of the Northeastern Minnesota Book Award), the Duluth that was and is no more (Lost Duluth, finalist for the Minnesota Book Award), and the history of brewing in the Twin Ports, including today’s craft brewers (Naturally Brewed, Naturally Better). Dierckins will also be signing Glensheen: The Official Guide to Duluth’s Historic Congdon Estate (winner of the Northeastern Minnesota Book Award) and Historic Glensheen 1905–1930; Photographs from the Cangon Estate’s First 25 Years.
