This week we walk the hallowed halls of the 1895 Irving Elementary School, designed by architects Palmer, Hall & Hunt and the model for the main building of the original Duluth Normal School (now UMD) campus, ‘Old Main.” Rad the history of the school the Duluth News Tribune once called News Tribune called it “the pride and joy of West Duluth” here.
