Royal 58 Label

This week’s featured design from Zenith City Press’s line of vintage reproduction art comes from our collection of historic Duluth breweriana designs. It’s a reproduction and digital restoration of a lithograph bottle label for Duluth Brewing & Malting’s Royal 58, its flagship brand in the 1950s. Originally named Royal 57 for its 5.7% alchohol, company officials feared it would be called the “Ketchup beer” because of Heinz 57. Insitead they increased the alcohol to 5.8% and a new beer was born. Make a date with 58!

This design is available as a print (framed or unframed on canvas, art paper, metal, or wood) and blank greeting cards, throw pillows, tote bags, carry-all pouches, shower curtains, beach and bath towels, blank spiral notebooks, puzzles, and even phone cases. Want it on something else? Email us and we’ll see if we can make it available!
